Bettina Jeszenszky is the owner and operator of Rawhide &
Catnip. A native of Las Vegas, she moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to
attend USC. In 2004 she left her corporate job of international
record sales to pursue a more fulfilling lifestyle. Dog walking
quickly followed as the ideal blend of two of her most avid
interests: hiking and hanging out with her German Shorthaired
Pointer, Jaeger. She is a resident of Echo Park, where she lives
with her husband Janos and their baby daughter Sophia. |

Arik
Martin is a dog walker and writer from Chicago who has been in
the pet sitting business for five years. He studied theatre at
Florida State University, where he attended on a National Merit
Scholarship. A recent transplant to the Los Angeles area, Arik finds
that long hikes with his furry buddies are great for recharging his
imagination, and visits to the dog park provide ample opportunity
for people watching. Arik also has ties to the L.A. music scene, and
is a die-hard Cubs fan.

Carrie
White is a dog walker and handbag designer from Dallas, Texas.
She and her husband Eric moved to Los Angeles 5 years ago after 6
years in San Francisco. Carrie took up the dog sitting business
because of her love for animals and being outside in the sunny
Southern California weather. She studied Textile design at Rhode
Island School of Design, and has started a designer handbag
business, Chlorine of Los Angeles, which refurbishes and embellishes
vintage handbags. She has two dogs of her own, Dickie and Pancho,
that love to partake in the hikes at Elysian Park. |
