Rawhide and Catnip offers training for our
canine companions. Our goal is to help you communicate effectively with
your dog so that he is well trained and well socialized and you can enjoy
your time together to the fullest. Give us a call to set up a
complementary visit to discuss a training strategy. The rate for all
private lessons is $50 / hour
Private Training | $50/hour
The objective of our training sessions is to establish a
leader-follower relationship so that when you speak, your dog listens
and responds accordingly, not just “when he feels like it” or “when
you have a treat”. One-hour sessions cover obedience commands
including off, sit, stay, down, wait, heel and come, along with any
behavior issues you may have with your dog to get them to point of
being a ‘good canine citizen’. |

Fear & Anxiety Re-training | $50/hour
Same as our private training sessions but catered to deal with
specific fears or phobias your dog may have of loud noises such as
thunder, fireworks, sirens, children screaming or gunfire or anxieties
directed at riding in the car or being around men, children,
veterinarians, other animals and house-cleaning devices.
Puppy Lessons * | $50/hour
Our private lessons are for puppies 7 weeks and older. The goal of these
lessons is to educate you on the fundamentals of puppy behavior so that
you can communicate clearly with your pet. Lessons cover potty training,
kenneling, chewing, nipping, jumping up, eating etiquette, nutrition,
exercise needs, grooming, barking, riding well in the car & separation
anxiety. Obedience training includes name recognition, walking gently on
leash, sitting, staying, laying down, heeling and coming when called.
Are you expecting a new puppy? Call us ahead of time for a few tips
on making the “welcome home” process a success.

Nutritional Consultation | $150 flat rate
Does your dog need to lose or gain weight, increase energy or recover from
illness or allergies? We’ll work with you as needed over a 3-month period
to determine the right food and nutrients for your dog. Expertise includes
information on raw food and home cooked diets.
